California Chrome, winner of the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes, will run the third and final leg of the Triple Crown at the Belmont Stakes. With California Chrome's bid for a Triple Crown still alive, we look at few prop bets leading up to The Test of the Champion.

Will California Chrome win the 2014 Triple Crown?
  • Yes: -140
  • No: EVEN
California Chrome's odds to win the Triple Crown have decreased from +200 to -140 after the colt won the Preakness Stakes. The odds imply that California Chrome's chances of winning the Triple Crown have increased from 33 percent to 58 percent.

Note: twenty other horses have lost their bid for a Triple Crown after winning both the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness, five since 2002 alone including the most recent, I'll Have Another in 2012.

2014 Belmont Stakes - Margin of Victory - Will it be 2 lengths or more?
  • Yes: EVEN
  • No: -140
How long is a length? A length is the measurement from a horse's nose to tail, approximately eight feet. California Chrome won the Preakness by 1 1/2 lengths, the Kentucky Derby by 1 3/4 lengths and the previous four races by six lengths on average.

Note: Secretariat won the Belmont Stakes by 31 lengths.

2014 Belmont Stakes - Winning time
  • Over/Under: 2:30:00
The last four winners of the Belmont Stakes have ran a time slower than 2:30:00 but nine of the previous ten winners all ran a time faster than the posted over/under.

Note: California Chrome ran the Kentucky Derby in 2:03:66, considered slow, and the Preakness Stakes in 1:54:84, considered respectable.

How do I get started?
Visit the Learn tab on the navigation bar where you'll find the Predicteform.com Legend and Pattern Guide. These two tools combined will give you the knowledge you need to use Predicteform.com:

The Legend helps to explain how best to read the Pace Figures. It clearly defines what every line, symbol and figure means.

The Pattern Guide highlights Form Cycle Patterns, a series of 12 symbols/abbreviations, each with its own definition. These patterns are the easiest and most effective way to evaluate what we can expect from a horse's future performance and expected form cycle.

Value Play Picks use the automated technology and process to evaluate every track and race as well as the Predicteform.com team's analytical expertise, we can now rank every horse by its likelihood of winning the race and value (initially relative to morning line odds).
Value Play picks are included as part of all subscriptions and you can view now on the Free Race of the Day.

Blinker's Off - We have also published founder Cary Fotias' unabridged book on Form Cycle Analysis, available by chapter free to all who register.

Free Race of the Day – Every day, we will make available the Pace Figures and Value Play Picks for at least one race. Pace Figures are what subscribers, both in the Value Play Picks and the comprehensive "advanced" view, can see for every horse of every race at every track. Check out today's free race here.
