It looks like a wide-open race to me, which suggests that finding the right handful of horses to include in trifecta and superfecta plays could produce a healthy payoff.
I would use the undefeated #14 Essential Quality and #15 Rock Your World top to bottom for sure. And I would include #6 O Besos, #10 Midnight Bourbon, #18 Super Stock, and even the 50-1 bomber #4 Keepmeinmind in the bottom two or three spots.
I'm not opposed to a few $2 WIN wagers on the longshots either just in case something unforeseen happens.
It's one of those “I wish there were dime supers” kind of race on paper. I can see boxing 5 horses in the Superfecta for $12, but at the $1 minimum, $120 is too much for me.

I like #1 Known Agenda. With the new starting gate setup, I don't think the inside posts are a huge disadvantage. His last three races show a horse that is getting really good at the right time. He gets the services of the best rider in the country, Irad Ortiz Jr. And the inside post just might make his price a little sweeter.

Been high on Hot Rod Charlie since before his first start in 2021. 2 preps this year and ready to explode after running 9.5F six weeks ago. Could be a Twilight Zone exacta box repeat of Breeders Cup Juvenile with Essential Quality who also has tactical speed. Both these horses should be in the first flight of 6-7 horses which is where you need to be with an expected slow pace. For more details become a member and read my blog HERE.

Looks to be excellent value all over with a heavy favorite this year that is solid in #14 ESSENTIAL QUALITY (2/1) but not in the bag. I'll look to beat him as possibly vulnerable completing a tough campaign from Juvenile Champ to Kentucky Derby starting gate that many have been able to complete over the years. I'll take #1 KNOWN AGENDA (6/1) who's been working up to a peak here and should show a great late burst out of good cruising speed. Elsewhere #9 HOT ROD CHARLIE (8/1) is one that loves to run at targets and should be going well late. Near the front end, watch out for #11 DYNAMIC ONE (20/1) and #18 SUPER STOCK (30/1) who have continually built sustainable pace and are ready to send their best.
