Race 4 | Dirt | 8F
#1A Mount Travers
Suddenly trending toward more distance being a good move with last out's 71h/68h being most compressed and fastest running line recently. Fine with getting the #1 for free as a coupled entry as well coming off a good workout and trying blinkers.
#2 Crypto Cash
Gets sent back to familiar trainer today and recent record sees him hitting exacta 5 in a row. Last try on a fast track at 75/72 would be a lot for today's rivals to handle.
Race 5 | Turf | 9F
#6 Compromiser
Entered into a more honest spot for 2nd career try as one that should like turf. Triggered the COMP and REV in dirt sprint debut, a Form Cycle Pattern duo indicating even energy distribution and late speed which translates well here to the surface and distance change.
Race 6 | Dirt | 6F
#1 Devil's Code
Superior to field based on last year's campaign of sustaining fast 4F Figures into 70+ Finals but now off the long lay-off, gets dropped in first time for a tag so current condition a big question mark having to flee the rail.
#9 Vincent
Best compression of field in a sprint coming off a 71/68h and now faces weaker rivals who look a bit suspect as a whole. Might see a race flow here that puts many of these backing up late allowing this one to make a late run in the lane.
Race 7 | Dirt | 8.5F
#4 Full Moon Fever
Prompted an NPT in last for a running line in which this one sustained fastest 4F Figure of career into a Final Figure competitive with his Lifetime Top. Looks to be in great condition right now and should now see a Lifetime Top Final with a more relaxed early run against today's field.
#5 Montebello
Season debut was slightly more compressed at +5.5 dirt spread than last year's 3-race debut campaign. Can move forward here second off the break while enjoying the set-up of less stressful opening splits with the added distance.
#7 Price Discipline
Looked every bit of the $300k purchase price on debut triggering both a COMP and REV on debut. Nothing to knock here except the price as I'm not much for laying odds to face winners for the first time while there's others in here with positive angles.
Race 8 | Turf | 11F
#1 Balthus
Faces winners for first time here but boasts 20+ turf spreads in all tries so far while coming in off a PLOW Pattern. Looks built for this challenge with longest Sire and Dam AWD's in field.
Race 9 | Turf | 7F
#8 Mostly Harmless
No other runner in this large field has broken a 70+ Final Figure while this one has done it two of last three spins. Takes the ultimate class drop today and looks like a must-bet on a real simple angle.
