G2 Tampa Bay Derby (03/06/21)

Tampa Bay Derby, Race 11

8 ½ Furlongs, Dirt

#3 Candy Man Rocket 2/1

Looks a solid favorite coming in with experience over today's spin off a stalking 76/73. Runner can match 4F Figures with this field and look to kick off late possibly set up to trigger a Reversal in this race. However, did shy on debut on a sloppy track. May not like the kickback in what figures to be another wet track today leaving the door open for an upset.

#5 Boca Boy 15/1

He has plenty of wet track experience and is on an upwards trend breaking through a DTOP setting another one with a competitive 77/72. Lightly-raced runners are eligible to break through DTOPs as they have yet to set their ceiling. This one may carry further today.

#8 Hidden Stash 4/1

Consistent type has been a step slow both early and coming late when comparing Figures whether on today's trip or other tracks travelled. Looks like an underlay we should look to beat.

#10 Helium 6/1

Good development moving from a COMP debut to a late-running spread (4F minus Final) of -7 in second start which translate well to a stretch out in distance. Comes from a young sire but the limited offspring statistics so far do not translate well for the surface switch here as this one steps onto a dirt track for the first time.

#11 Promise Keeper 8/1

Moves to two turns for the first time after a sloppy track 78/71 victory. Sloppy tracks can be known to carry runners further so holding the 2nd best Last 4F Figure could bode well for him if he can clear his outside post early.

#12 Sittin On Go 20/1

After a promising juvenile start, he's shown regression in each subsequent race since. Would need a grand set up here to run on late. Pass.

How do I get started?
Visit the Learn tab on the navigation bar where you'll find the Predicteform.com Legend and Pattern Guide. These two tools combined will give you the knowledge you need to use Predicteform.com:

The Legend helps to explain how best to read the Pace Figures. It clearly defines what every line, symbol and figure means.

The Pattern Guide highlights Form Cycle Patterns, a series of 12 symbols/abbreviations, each with its own definition. These patterns are the easiest and most effective way to evaluate what we can expect from a horse's future performance and expected form cycle.

Value Play Picks use the automated technology and process to evaluate every track and race as well as the Predicteform.com team's analytical expertise, we can now rank every horse by its likelihood of winning the race and value (initially relative to morning line odds).
Value Play picks are included as part of all subscriptions and you can view now on the Free Race of the Day.

Blinker's Off - We have also published founder Cary Fotias' unabridged book on Form Cycle Analysis, available by chapter free to all who register.

Free Race of the Day – Every day, we will make available the Pace Figures and Value Play Picks for at least one race. Pace Figures are what subscribers, both in the Value Play Picks and the comprehensive "advanced" view, can see for every horse of every race at every track. Check out today's free race here.
